Reydog is an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company created for dog people, by dog people. We know dogs have unique and changing personalities, just like their humans. And we know that changing collars and tags can be a hassle for both you and your pup. So, we created Rip-Strip collars to offer fellow dog lovers a fun and easy way to express their dogs’ personalities without tag removal stress.

The backstory
While living in Chicago, we’d take our dog on daily trips to the dog park and on errands in the neighborhood. We liked the idea of adding style with a fun collar, but all of the cool collars we’d find had two major flaws: buying new collars to match your dog's mood can add up; and, more importantly, each time you changed the collar, you had to change the tags.

We’ve all been there. You get out the pliers and pull back that little “s” hook that holds the tag to the collar. Pinch it a little too tight — or do it more than twice — and the “s” breaks. Now you’re digging around in your tool box for an extra “s.” You’ve seen them a hundred times before, but, of course, you can’t find one now when you need it. So you’re off to the hardware store thinking how a simple idea to put a new collar on your pet just turned into a chore. Makes you think twice the next time you want a change. Well, we have a solution: the Reydog collar.

How it works
Our designer Rip-Strips affix to the leather base collar by a Velcro system. With a quick Rip-the-Strip, you’ve got a whole new look — in under a minute and without hassling with tags. All Rip-Strips fit our leather collars, so you buy one collar and as many Rip-Strips as you want. All of our products are hand-crafted by a local artisan, and our designs are inspired by many elements — classic colors and patterns, our love of the outdoors, food and fun, and the desire to make you smile with pride when someone says “What a great collar!”

We’ll add new styles each season, and hope to expand our lines to include different looks and package deals for you to enjoy.
